Put your hand up if you have ever craved something sweet but are trying to be healthy (if I could type with one hand then mine would be waving around like crazy). Ice cream is out of the question right because of all the heavy cream used? Not anymore folks! Well this is technically a sorbet not an ice cream but you would never be able to tell. This chocolate & banana sorbet is creamy and luscious and could give any ice cream a run for its money.

It is dairy free so perfect for all you poor lactose intolerant souls (my husband Chirag included). It does have sugar but am going to keep experimenting with some combinations so that we can substitute the sugar for something healthier.

Hi Aditi! What ice cream maker do you use? I live in India too and I’m unsure of the options available here.
Could you also direct me to the recipe without the ice cream maker? Thanks!

Hi Shreya! I have a Cuisinart ice cream and gelato maker. It is definitely expensive but makes amazing ice cream and I haven’t had any problems with it so far.
